What Exactly is Suzuki AllGrip?

It’s not like any regular type of 4WD system, but is our featured brand’s proprietary, intelligent traction system, designed to maintain and regain your grip before you even realize you’re slipping. Which AllGrip System is Right For You?
Our Suzuki models have three different AllGrip options, each one providing its own benefits:
- AllGrip AUTO
- AllGrip SELECT
- AllGrip PRO
AllGrip AUTO
Typically found in models like the Suzuki Swift or Ignis, AllGrip AUTO is a system that works best for everyday driving and sudden rain showers. Torque is automatically distributed to the rear wheels when it detects the front wheels losing their grip on the road.
AllGrip SELECT
The SELECT variant provides electronically controlled drive modes for taking on a variety of different terrains, like steep island hills or muddy trails. These drive modes include:
- Auto
- Sport
- Snow
- Lock
The SELECT is most often available in models like the Vitara and S-Cross.
AllGrip PRO
This version is exclusive to the Suzuki Jimny, utilizing a part-time 4WD system with low-range transfer gear for serious off-roading, river crossings, and beach access. It makes your car into an all-terrain vehicle in the truest sense of the word.
