Wash and Rinse Your Undercarriage
Salt and dirt can easily gather on the undercarriage, especially if you often drive off-road on one of the many island trails in the Caribbean. To prevent any corrosion, you should make sure to regularly clean the undercarriage to prevent the buildup of grime.
Apply Wax or Ceramic Coating
If you want to keep your vehicle’s exterior looking fresh and new for as long as possible, when you get your regular car wash you should spring for a coat of wax. This helps stop debris from damaging the paint, while also extending the time before you’ll need another car wash.
Use Car Covers and Shaded Parking
Long-term exposure to UV light can cause damage to not only your paint job, but the upholstery and leather on the interior through the window. Don’t leave your car unprotected in the sun, and either find shaded parking or carry a car cover with you. You can also use covers on the seats or get tinted windows to prevent damage, but this generally won’t stop the paint on your exterior from fading.
