Suzuki's AllGrip system has four different driving modes to best handle the terrain you're up against:

- Snow/Mud is for taking on muddy or similar surfaces to prevent slippage.
- Lock is for navigating deep beach sand to prevent your tires from sinking.
2. Smooth Acceleration is Your Best Friend
Whether you're stuck in a puddle or soft sand, remember that flooring it will just dig your car in deeper. Gentle acceleration allows for your AWD system to find a grip and pull it out.
3. Trust the Tech when you Slip
If you hit a slick patch of leaves on a winding mountain road, there's nothing to panic about. The vehicle's system will instantly send power to the rear wheels to help balance you out, so just steer smoothly in the direction you want to go and let the vehicle's computer sort out traction.
4. Don't Neglect AWD Fluids
AWD systems have a transfer case and rear differential that requires fluid changes over time for continued smooth operation in tropical weather. Make sure to stick to your Suzuki service schedule to keep your vehicle in peak form for as long as possible.
5. Keep Your Tires Matched and Rotated
AWD systems also require all four tires to have similar tread depth to work at maximum efficiency, while also allowing the computer to accurately measure wheel spin. Get regular tire rotations and replace them in sets of four to ensure your system doesn't get confused.
